The widow of Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi, who was assassinated by the Saudi Arabian government in 2018, was targeted by the NSO Group's Pegasus malware at the request of the United Arab Emirates. The malware was allegedly installed while Elatr was detained at the Dubai airport.
